Hispanos para Christo

Hispanos Para Christo is a mission to Spanish speaking people in the Tulsa, OK area. Our missionaries are Alvaro and Rosa DeLeon. The support curch is Community Baptist of Tulsa. You can support the ministry by volunteering to witness with Alvaro and Rosa; they call it "knocking on doors". The adventures in faith have been wonderful and they can include you. In addition to your prayers to the Lord of the harvest to send workers, they also need Spanish Bibles and financial support.

Sherman City Mission

For several years we have felt called to reopen the old Sherman church. There are several people in the very small, very rural community and God is raising up a witness to Jesus Christ in their midst. The support team is still forming and right now we need your support in prayer. Murrrow Indian Children's Home

Murrow is a children's home in Muskogee, OK  Joan Brown is our missionary and serves as the director. You can participate in this mission by serving as a volunteer either at a work project painting or repairing the facilities or at a ministry project like bringing a vacation Bible school to the campus. Murrow always needs supplies from bedding to silverware and everything in between. Please call to see what current needs are before bringing supplies. Joan's number is 918-682-2586. Murrow is always in need of both financial and prayer support.

Items needed immediately include:  Laundry soap (any kind), Bleach, Shampoo and conditioner (any kind), Paper towels, White athletic socks (Men size 10-13), Boxer underwear - 30", 32", 34" and 36" waist, Three-ring notebooks, serving bowls and cereal bowls, kitchen utensiles, Six book-bags, Hair brushes and hand mirrors, birthday plates and napkins.

Pittsburg State Campus Ministry

Doug Hale is our campus missionary and along with all the ministries to the students, Doug and his team feed several hundred people every week. They need food. If you can help please let Doug know. The number is 620-231-2977. Support churches include First Baptist of Pittsburg and South Broadway Baptist of Pittsburg. 

Suggested items include:  all kinds of canned vegetables, boxed desserts, frosting, flour, sugar, powdered sugar, Kool-aid, tea bags, onions, spices, paper plates, plastic cups, plastic ware, napkins, all canned fruit, cheese [that can be frozen], canned cheese, tortilla shells, all noodles, rice, chicken bullion, beef bullion, whole chickens, sausage, ground beef, spaghetti sauce or tomato paste, "any type of canned food will be greatly appreciated and used!"


SKIL

ABMEN Disaster Relief

Larry Oyer is the Regional organizer and right now we need people to travel to the Louisiana area and help clean towns hit by the hurricane. We are hoping for three teams of twenty people. Sign up now! Call Larry Oyer at  316-215-1707. Money can be donated for the Hurricane cleanup through ABMEN (in care of Larry Oyer, 432 E. 3rd St. Newton, KS. 67114) or through One Great Hour of Sharing (5833 SW. 29th St. Topeka, KS. 66614). 

Throughout the year ABMEN travel to communities that are hit by tornadoes. Once the hurricane cleanup is done make sure Larry knows how to get in touch with you for other disaster relief missions.
